Important Steps Before Use
Before Use
All of our sound modules come pre-loaded with default sounds that are ideal for initial testing of your unit (except for the FN-BC20-BO model). We strongly recommend testing the board with these default sounds before uploading any custom audio files. Some sound files may contain unusual attributes that could prevent the board from functioning properly.
Testing
When testing your board using the default sounds—or our test sounds if you've already deleted the defaults—follow these steps to ensure accurate results:
- Double-check your power and speaker connections, and inspect for any stray wires that might be causing shorts between terminals.
- Verify that your power supply is outputting a voltage within the board's specified range.
- Simplify your setup for initial testing: For example, instead of using a button, try shorting the ground and trigger terminals with metal tweezers or a paperclip. (This is also why we recommend retaining the default sounds for troubleshooting.)
