This kit lets you switch a relay with the widely used DMX512 protocol, developed by USITT in 1986 to control dimmers, scanners, moving heads and other lighting with simple wiring. When a device only needs to be switched on and off, this bus-controlled power driver does the job.
The relay switches on when the DMX value of the selected channel is 140 or more and drops out at 120 or less; values in between act as hysteresis so the relay does not cycle. LEDs show power, relay output state and faults. The "safe DMX data stream" function reduces interference to a minimum, and the relay hold function keeps the relay state if the DMX signal is lost. Together with the WSL8062 DMX controller or the WML116 (mounted version), you can easily build a computer-controlled automation system. This kit is also available as a mounted module: WML138.
