PLEASE NOTE: This module, part # A96010, is actually an A93010. It is virtually identical to the A96010 and it operates the same, but downloadable datasheets are availa￼ble for each for comparison if necessary. The small size is because the IC is in Chip-on-board form. One button is pushed down to record the message through the on-board electret microphone; A LED turns on during this time. The other button just has to be momentarily pressed to replay the message. A second momentary press during playback will stop the playback. Sampling rate is 4K. The record/play time is determined by the 52K resistor. If you change it￼ to 89K you will get 30 seconds but at a reduced sampling rate.

This unit will power a 1 watt speaker as is. You do not need to add an external amplifier. However, you can add an external amplifier if you want to drive more than a 1 watt speaker, as long as you follow one of the 2 options below.
