Audio to light modulator kit

Full Documentation in Acrobat format

How to build a lightning simulator for Halloween

cps12.jpg
A music-to-light modulator is a circuit which controls the intensity of one or more lights in response to an audio input. The kit is ideal to give the rhythm to any party or disco without much money. Very safe operation as it uses an opto-coupler as a coupling device between the audio and the mains controlling stages of the circuit.
Input trigger voltage: 2.3 - 2.5V (min)
Operating voltage: 110 or 250 VAC
Power handling: 220W @ 110V or 500W @ 250V
PCB size: 2.16" x 1.63"
PLEASE NOTE, THIS KIT USES 120V MAINS ELECTRICITY AND SHOULD NOT BE ATTEMPTED BY ANYONE WITHOUT THE PROPER SKILL LEVEL. THIS SHOULD ALSO BE BUILT IN A SUITABLE PLASTIC ENCLOSURE.
