Stereo Preamplifier - Tone Control Unit

This is a preamplifier and tone control unit
which will make a useful addition to any
of our power amplifier kits. It is extremely
easy to construct due to the use of a special IC,
the Philips TDA 1524A. This contains all the
circuitry required to provide up to 20 dB of
voltage gain, +/-15 dB of bass and treble
control, channel balance, and a switchable
loudness contour.
Specification
D.C. Input : 15V DC supply or 12V DC battery. 50 mA min.
Maximum output : > 3 V RMS
Maximum input : > 300 mV, G = 20 dB
> 3V RMS, G = 0dB. Input Z > 10 k ohm. Output Z < 300 ohm
Frequency resp. : < 10 Hz to > 50 kHz + / – 1 dB
THD at 1kHz : < 0.1 % at 1V output
S/N ratio : > 80 dB, G = 0 dB

50W amplifier module TDA7294  (Out of Stock)

The heart of this amplifier module is a monolithic integrated circuit from SGS-Thomson, TDA7294. It is intended for use as an audio class AB amplifier in hi-fi applications. It has a wide voltage range and output current capability, enabling it to supply the highest power into both 4 Ohm and 8 Ohm loads. With the addition of a handful of parts and a suitable power supply, this module will deliver > 50W RMS into 8 Ohm @ 0.1% THD. HEATSINK NOT INCLUDED. User must supply a heatsink rated at 1.4 deg C/W.

Specifications (± 35V D.C. power supply)
Output power : > 50W RMS, 4-8 Ω load
~ 80W into 4Ω max.
~ 60W into 8Ω max.
Gain: 24 dB (30dB modification)
Input sensitivity : 1.3V for 50W, 8 ohm
0.9V for 50W, 4 ohm
(0.6V, 50W, 8Ω, G=30dB)
Input impedance : 10kΩ
Signal-to-Noise ratio : > 95 dB, (>105 dBA)
Frequency response : ~ 20Hz - 200kHz, –3 dB
Slew rate : > 10V/uS
THD : < 0.01%, 1W-40W,1kHz

Square Wave Oscillator LN/NE555 (inc box

Simple circuit to generate square waves of approximately 1Hz 10Hz 100Hz 1KHz 10KHz & 100KHz. A square wave generator is one of those pieces of equipment that has many uses in the workshop yet few hobbyists actually have. This simple kit, based on the popular 555 timer IC, generates six preset frequencies from 1Hz to 100khz. It has an operating voltage range of 5 to 18VDC and even provides visual indication of the output. The kit is constructed on a single-sided printed circuit board (PCB). The PCB size: is 78 x 50mm (3.1" x 2") and will mount on a small plastic 'Jiffy' box. (CPS111)
