Relays are usually used to switch AC voltages by means of an electronic control because of their simplicity. However, when switching occurs too frequently or too quickly the life time of the contact points is shortened considerably. This can be solved perfectly by replacing the relays with a triac. Using optocouplers, the entire interface network remains electrically isolated from the voltage that has to be switched.

Dual HI / LO Switching Relay Board

The kit is based around the ULN2003A IC, a 7-channel high voltage, high current relay driver. The inputs are TTL compatible so they can be connected to 5V. LO 0-0.8VDC. HI 2.4V - 12VDC. Operating voltage: 12V DC. The relay will be operated when either the LO input is

Audio to light modulator kit

A music-to-light modulator is a circuit which controls the intensity of one or more lights in response to an audio input. The kit is ideal to give the rhythm to any party or disco without much money. USB EXPERIMENT INTERFACE BOARD
