FAQ:
Q1: Does message repeat when it finishes?
A1: No the White button must be pressed again after message stops to play it again.

Q2: If white button is pressed and not released will message repeat?
A2: No. The message will only play once. Button has to be released and pressed again for message to replay.

Q3: What happens if white button is pressed again during playback of message?
A3: Playback of the message stops. Another press will restart message from the beginning of the segment.

Q4: During playback of a segment what will happen if white button of another segment is pressed?
A4: The segment that was playing will stop and the new segment that was pressed will start to play.

Q5: Can each of the segments only record 1 minute?
A5: No. Each segment can be more than 1 minute or less than 1 minute. However total length of all 5 segments together cannot exceed 5 minutes.

Q6: Do all the recordings get erased when the batteries are removed?
A6: No it is non-volatile memory. Removal of batteries will not erase the recordings.

Q7: How can I make this unit sound better?
A7: You can hold the speaker in your hand by making an "O" shape with your finger and thumb with the speaker held firmly inside the "O." Or you can mount the speaker in a box or to a heavier mount like a piece of plywood with a hole in it for the speaker. This decreases the speaker frame vibration and increases the speaker surface vibration which improves the sound quality.

Q8: How can I make this unit louder?
A8: You could purchase a larger speaker and any of our amplifiers or amplifier kits to use with this unit. Type "amplifier" in the search box and click "Go."

PLEASE NOTE: This module, part# A96010, is actually an A93010. It is virtually identical to the A96010 and it operates the same, but downloadable datasheets are available for each for comparison if necessary. The small size is because the IC is in Chip-on-board form. One button is pushed down to record the message through the on-board electret microphone; A LED turns on during this time. The other button just has to be momentarily pressed to replay the message. A second momentary press during playback will stop the playback. Sampling rate is 4K. All you have to add is the speaker (not included) and 5V DC power (not included). We also have an A96010-kit which in addition to the part# A96010 also includes a speaker and two cable connectors to connect the unit to a power supply (not included) and the speaker. The record/play time is determined by the 52K resistor. If you change it to 89K you will get 30 seconds but at a reduced sampling rate. Operating current 25mA. Standby current 10 uA. Recording Module 20 second - card type

20 second card type recording unit. This module can be pasted (self-adhesive backing) into birthday cards, Christmas cards etc. When the card is opened your message will be played. 40 second Non-volatile multi message recorder kit

Non-volatile multi message recorder using ISD chips. Just change one resistor for longer duration. Standalone operation using just six onboard bottons.
