It is designed and programmed to snap right into an Arduino UNO to control our MLD1 (programmable 5 x 7 Modular LED Matrix Display). You can use this IC and an Arduino UNO to control up to 5 MLD1s without an additional power supply. If you add your own power supply, you can drive up to 100 pieces!
