This is an ATmega328 with Arduino Bootloader (DEV09217), pre-programmed with our "Program-MLD1" hexcode. It is designed and programmed to snap right into an Arduino UNO to control our MLD1 (programmable 5 x 7 Modular LED Matrix Display). You can use this IC and an Arduino UNO to control up to 5 MLD1s without an additional power supply. If you add your own power supply, you can drive up to 100 pieces!

Arduino Uno (version 1)

Arduino is an open-source physical computing platform based on a simple i/o board and a development environment that implements the Processing/Wiring language. Arduino can be used to develop stand-alone interactive objects or can be connected to software on your computer (e.g. Flash, Processing, MaxMSP). The open-source IDE can be downloaded for free (currently for Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux).

This is the new Arduino Uno. In addition to all the features of the previous board, the Uno now uses an ATmega8U2 instead of the FTDI chip. This allows for faster transfer rates, no drivers needed for Linux or Mac (inf file for Windows is needed), and the ability to have the Uno show up as a keyboard, mouse, joystick, etc.

Atmel's ATMega328P 8-Bit Processor in 28 pin DIP
package. It's like the ATmega168, with double the flash space. 32K of
program space. 23 I/O lines, 6 of which are channels for the 10-bit ADC.
